Our trip to Paris this year was an extension to an already planned “couples” trip to Provence. We couldn't wait to shop the flea markets for Clover!
Our first stop was our adorable hotel, COQ in the 13th arrondissement. We arrived weary at 10am, and of course our room wasn't available until 3pm! We stored our bags, splashed some water on our faces and out we went, straight to Cafe Flore in St. Germain for omelettes and lattes!
Feeling whole again, we headed out into the streets of St. Germain for some serious shopping for ourselves and found so many great shops and inspiration along the way.
Among them, Bella Rose and Isabelle Marant for clothing -- now our favorite spot along the Seine! Also, a very cool vintage furniture/objects and clothing shop just down the street from Le Voltaire and Dries Van Noten.
The next day we met up with our good friend, Allison, and had a fabulous lunch at Chez Georges, followed by hitting the Marais for more shopping and a visit to the Picasso Museum. That night we celebrated with dinner at Le Voltaire and a walk along the Seine to the Eiffel Tower, dreaming about being young again while we watched all of the gorgeous people congregating and partying the night away!
The third day we hit the ground running to the Marche Paul Bert, the best of the Paris Flea markets. We saw lots of mirrors, rattan, ceramic lamps (Allison bought our favorite pair!) and inspiring displays of collectibles and curiosities. As collectors and treasure hunters it’s pure heaven!
We worked up our appetites and sat down to a bottle of rose and a lunch only one could find in Paris!
We are more than satisfied with our time here, a Clover girl’s nirvana!
